Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner
I did a detailed review of both of these products last week. Click here to see the review!

NYC New York Color Expert Last Lip Color
I received this lipstick in the color Sugarplum. The formulation of this lipstick is creamy and goes on much like a chapstick. The color is sort of sheer so you'll need to apply a bit for it to show. It is not very long lasting and will wear off a little after applying. The shade is a very pinky one. When you first put it on it looks like "your lips but better" but if you apply too many layers it looks like "oh, no girl!" lol. It was just too pink at full strength. I'd recommend this lipstick for my young girls just wearing lipstick who want to sport something age appropriate.

Celestial Seasonings Candy Cane Lane Decaf Green Tea
I have a detailed first impression of this here

Boots No7 Protect & Perfect ADVANCED
This is a very light lotion-like serum. After you've applied it you get a kind of "firming" feeling without the face being dry or tight. The sample was small so I only used it twice.

McCormick Gourmet All Natural Thyme
It's seasoning. Really, I can't say much more. I throw all sorts of seasonings into my food--especially my spaghetti. I have begun throwing the Thyme right on in the mix.

Fruit Vines Bites Cherry
I'm here for these. Yes! They are freaking delicious. Think sweeter, chewier, thicker twizzlers.

EcoTools Full Volume Styler
Do you see my hair with it's natural volume and loads of texture? No, I didn't use this brush. lol. I was hoping I would get the other one because I could have at least tried it out for detangling. I'll be sending it to my dear friend Alysa who is a curly that straightens her hair.

Product Review: Rimmel London Products

Through Influenster I've had the opportunity to test out some Rimmel London Products. They sent me over Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover and Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal Eyeliner. Over the last month I've had a chance to try them out and here is what I thought...

Rimmel Gentle Eye Makeup Remover
I have never really been an eye makeup remover girl. I just like to wash my makeup off with my facial cleanser in the shower. My makeup comes off with this method but that is mainly because I do not usually use waterproof makeup. That is where the Gentle Eye Makeup Remover comes into play. The liner they sent would not come off with my regular makeup remover! However, their remover takes it off like it ain't no thang! I also notice that the formula isn't oily like a popular makeup counter remover that my mom likes. I have oily eyelids so extra oil is unwanted.

I found another use for the makeup remover that may be odd...lipstick removal. I am a lover of red and fuchsia lipsticks. These can linger on my lips at times but not when I swiped them with the remover. It came right off! In the end, I may give this remover to my mom because she regularly uses and repurchases that makeup counter brand I mentioned.

Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Khol Kajal Eyeliner
This liner right here? This LI-NER right HERE! To give it to you plain it is creamy and dark. I found that I liked it best drawn on my lids then smudged with a little color in my crease. It looked natural and was waterproof. I tried this all around my eyes but it was just too intense for me. I can be seen wearing it in the end of my Vlogmas 2014: Week 3 video and the middle of the vlogmas after that. Pictures above.

Video: When People Ask About Your Hair

I will admit that if you approach me in real life and ask me about my hair, I will stand there with my mouth open. It's not that I don't know my own hair routine, it's just that I have a million things racing through my mind.

I'm thinking about all of the different products I use. I'm pondering the techniques I incorporate in my regimen. I'm also thinking "what are they looking at" as my hair is hardly ever fresh when I get stopped. I usually just end up plugging my blog. I've got to get a quick response together.

Wash Day Experience | Twist and Trim

What The Kink - First Wash Day of 15What The Kink - First Wash Day of 15

I'm late posting about it but I kicked off this new year with a treatment and a set of twists!

[1] Prepoo
I started off with the Cherry Lola Treatment. The treatment is said to strengthen the hair and decrease frizz. I hadn't done one in several months and figured it was about time. I'm going to try to do them monthly.

[2] Deep Condition
After rinsing out my prepoo I coated my hair in my precious Tressemme Naturals conditioner (review here). Since I know how much of a task twisting can be I slept in the deep conditioner so that I could do the next step in the morning.

[3] Detangle
The next morning I detangled my hair under running water then added back more of the conditioner to leave in.

[4] Style & Trim
I sealed each conditioned section with olive oil then proceeded to do medium sized twists. Um...they took forever! As I twisted I also took ~1/4th" off of each twist.

What The Kink - First Wash Day of 15

This routine will probably be the name of the game at the beginning of each month--minus the trim!

Product Review: Xtreme Professional Wet Line Styling Gel

Like the product reviewing beast I have become, I did a review of the Xtreme Professional Wet Line Styling Gel. This gel is protein, silicone, and alcohol free. It appears to be a good gel for the curly girl method, is a no-no for the Max Hydration Method, and is a good replacement for Eco Styler gel. Click the image to see the review!

Happy New Year! 2015 Goals

Happy New Year! As usual, I am here to blog about the goals I have for my hair in 2015. This year I thought I'd kick it up a notch and add my youtube channel and blog to the goals.

My Hair

  • Continue to increase the hydration of my hair through the Max Hydration Method
  • Incorporate seasonal micro trims of 1/4"
  • Try a rollerset
  • Establish hair staples again

My Channel

  • Improve the quality of my videos - I got lazy at times in 2014
  • Be more purposeful with the thumbnails
  • Do a collab - Seriously, who wanna go in on a collab video?
  • Gain 1,000 new subs - Hey, I got that many in 2014!

My Blog

  • Get a domain name - I've been dragging my feet on this for years!
  • Get business cards
  • Be more purposeful in my content
  • Improve the beginner-ability of my blog - That's not a word but I used it! I want beginners to feel like this is a place that they can put their hat down and their feet up!

As a person I'd like to be more hospitable and considerate. I admit that I am in my mid-twenties and have a lot to learn about life and interaction in general.
