SOYBEAN OIL, FULLY HYDROGENATED PALM OIL, PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED PALM AND SOYBEAN OILS, MONO- AND DIGLYCERIDES, TBHQ and CITRIC ACID (ANTIOXIDANTS).
So, it looks like a bunch of natural oil, glycerin, and preservatives. With ingredients like this, I say "why not?"
I doubt it'd make the hair actually grow, but I bet its great at sealing moisture into the scalp. Hey, and retaining moisture reduces breakage and ultimately allows us to keep the hair we are constantly growing.
Crisco may be able to replace your favorite grease! So, how about you? Would you use Crisco for your hair?

No I don't think I would use this on my hair.
I wouldn't either, but it intrigues me for sure. ^_^
Kayla,
I tried this Crisco method b/c it makes sense when you see the various hair pomades on the market. Very simplistic ingredients. Only used it on my hair not scalp though and preceded to use my flat iron. Hair came out perfectly straightened and looked shiny; no strong smell either LOL !!!! Crisco works like a charm !!!
