FIND | Every Drop Beauty Spatula

I have not done a "Find" post in a while and am excited to bring you this one! I came across the Every Drop Beauty Spatula and had to bring this product to my blog readers. If you have watched my Camille Rose Naturals Curl Maker product review or my Summer Empties in which a bottle of Curl Maker appears then you know my frustration with getting all of the product out of the bottle.

Curl Maker stops coming up the pump while there is still a decent amount of product in the bottle. Also, the bottle is nearly impenetrable! You cannot cut that sucker open without a lot of effort! Enter the Every Drop Beauty Spatula...You can dip this baby in the bottle, swirl it around and get the stuck product out! Yes!

I deserve to use every bit of a $22 product! I will be purchasing this spatula very soon!

Product Review: Tangle Tamer Max Detangling Brush

Remember the Tangle Teezer craze? Remember the cry for it to have a handle? I've noticed that these detangling brushed are becoming popular again and many of them now have a handle. See what I thought of the handle, and the brush in general.

Price $9.99 at Sally Beauty

My Opinion

This brush gets the job done overall. I was able to detangle my hair and did so without experiencing damage in the month that I have used this product. I do see an issue with properly cleaning the brush. The 3 different layers of teeth are hard to get the end of a rat tail comb in for cleaning and it is nearly impossible to open the brush to ensure it does not mildew on the inside.

Also, I do not like having to detangle one side of a section, then flip it over again to detangle the other side. It makes detangling take longer. This may only be a con for people such as myself who have used a paddle brush or a long tooth comb in the past. Those tools usually go through the entire section in one go. If you already have a tangle teezer, keep it. The handle on this brush is just there for decoration. I would recommend this for people who only have a denman and want to use bigger sections or for those that do not already own a detangling brush.

Rating: **/3 It's okay, but nothing THAT spectacular

Goody Quickstyle Brush (on natural hair!!) DEMO

Hello my lovely readers! I have been feeling a bit "uninspired" when it comes to my blog and channel resulting in slow posts all around. I am still here though and I have tried the Goody Quickstyle brush and lived to tell the tale!

What I liked most about this brush, was the careful design of it. Often times the only vented brushes are the round ones or the small ones with a slotted back. You very rarely see a vented, large paddle brush. (They do exist, but...y'know...) So, I liked the side vents. I also liked the use of the microfiber towel. Microfiber towels soak up excess water without frizzing your hair. The microfiber is also treated so that it is antimicrobial, which is a must with a product such as this, meant to be used on wet hair. It is also easy to clean this brush with a rat tail comb.

Despite watching another natural brush her hair with this brush and end with fluffy dry hair--no dryer used, this brush did not work for me. I'm not really upset or disappointed by that though. My hair is difficult to dry anyway! I have often had damp hair a whole day after I wet it. Also, I used the product differently than it is supposed to be used--with a blowdryer.

I am giving this a 3/3 simply becuase I am super impressed by the design and truly believe and have seen (YouTube) that it can work for others. I already know my hair is hard to dry no matter what is being used. I will let this brush work for my 3b, blowdry using friend when I can get around to sending it to her. :)

Rating: ♥♥ out of 3 EXCELLENT

Product Review: Bonbons Cheveux Boutique

Their Promise:

Plastic Lined "Hard Candy" Cap
Our 100% Satin Hard Candy bonnets are custom fitted with a plastic interior that is waterproof. This design is perfect for deep conditioning and keeping pillow cases and furniture clean. Hard Candy bonnets are designed to be one-size fits all. Available in limited supplies. Handmade in America.

Price:
Price varies based on cap size and additional options. A plain silk cap, single lined, w/o a bow is $25. A plain hard candy cap w/o a bow is $30. You can add a bow to either cap for $1.50.

My Opinion:
I don't know what came over me one day, but I decided to purchase a new silk cap and a more durable deep conditioning cap from http://store.bonbonscheveux.com/. I purchased a cheetah print silk cap with a black bow ($1.50 extra) and a zebra "hard candy" cap for deep conditioning without a bow. My order came quickly and was packaged nicely.

Find: BonBons Satin Bonnets

I am not a particularly impulsive person. I will stare at an item in a store only to put it back and walk away. So I don't know what came over me on the night of the 15th when I decided to order two bonnets from Bonbons Cheveux Boutique. I ordered the White Chocolate Hard Candy without the bow and the Chocolate Caramel BonBons with the bow. What drew me to these bonnets were first how unique the prints were and second the adorable bows on them. You can get them without the bows or pay an additional dollar and have the bow attached.

What really sealed the deal for me were the "Hard Candy" line of bonnets. These bonnets are lined with a waterproof plastic material so that you can deep condition overnight. I currently put on a plastic cap, tie it down with a satin scarf, and then place a bonnet over it. This bonnet will cut out a few steps in my overnight deep conditioning process.

I can't wait until they get here!

FIND: Michel Mercier Detangling Brush

I went to my Bloglovin' account as I do everyday and began clicking 'read' on the posts I wasn't interested in. That's when I came across it, a review over at "My Long Hair Journey" on the Michel Mercier Detangling Brush. The picture was attractive enough that I actually took the time to read the post. What caught my attention the most was that the brush looked very similar to the Tangle Teezer, but it had a handle! Y'all know how much everyone was crying for a handle on that thing.

I also zoomed in on the fact that the brush was being compared to the Denman which is the brush I currently use to detangle. This brush is also color coded for different types of hair so each brush is catered to a certain type of hair. I believe this product is only available in Europe and I'm not in the market for another detangling brush, but this find may interest some of you, my readers.

Have you tried the Michel Mercier Detangling Brush? Are you thinking about trying it?

Find: I Unclogged My Drain...WOW

OMG, guys! So, my tub drain has been draining slowly, and the water was pooling at my feet. I've tried draino, plunging, and Coke straight out of the bottle--all failures. My drain might have been clear for a day or two, but went right to being clogged again.*ENTER ZIP-IT* I bought this baby at Walmart and barely had my shoes off before I ran to the bathroom to see it in action. I didn't get as much hair as the guy in the video, but it was indeed HAIR clogging up my drain. It looks like dirt and oils from my skin and scalp caused the hair to clump together in the drain.

As soon as my roommate comes home I'm going to use it on her tub too. Lord knows what might be down that drain because she's got APL hair that she washes daily. As soon as I can get the campus maintenance to unscrew my drain (it won't come out), I'm going to buy a hair stopper for my drain. Might even get my roommate one--with all the hair washing she does!

Find: Moni Poni

I've got a new one for you today, the Moni Poni! The Moni Poni is a plastic swirl that you twist into your hair for a ponytail holder. It's supposed to be less damaging and less stressful for the hair than traditional ponytail holders. I saw these little tools on Folica.com and am a little tempted to buy. They seem like they'd be great for natural hair and I saw a man with locs wearing one on one of their european pages. I tell you, the things people think up these days. What do you think of the Moni Poni?
