Do Your Research--For FREE!

I know you all hear it preached to you time and time again, but it is so important to do your research when it comes to your hair. Everyone has a different hair texture and type and what works for one youtuber or blogger may not work in your hair. Also, I have seen some myths still being perpetuated on channels by those in the very early stages of their hair journey. I cannot stress how important it is to check behind your sources. Shoot, even check behind me!

With that said, I'd like to suggest you hit up your local library in search of books on African American haircare. It may be surprising, but even newer books like "Curly Like Me" and "Grow It!" are available in the library. I've actually seen these sitting on the shelf with my own eyes.

If you live in Georgia, we have the Pines library system which allows you to access the catalog of all Pines libraries. From the site you can place a hold on a book or even order it from another library if your local branch doesn't have what you want. Ladies, please take advantage of your library and do your research!

I just watched a youtube video on this. It's always crucial to do extensive research on anything you plan on doing -- successfully. Great post, thanks for sharing. =]
