Quick Tip: Use the Bobby Pin the Right Way!

Bobby pins are supposed to be inserted with the ridges down. The ridges help grip the hair and keep the pin in place while the top smooths the hair. Of course, if you use hair pins, then both sides are ridged and this tip doesn't apply. Happy pinning!
