Video | Tri-Bun Protective Style

If you have been following me for some time, you'll know that I regularly experiment with different products--particularly gels. The gel that I tried most recently left my hair moisturized but with too much volume and not enough hold. Usually I'd throw results like this into a bun but I wanted something different. 

I took inspiration from this pin which I then modified to fit my hair texture and the effort I was willing to put forth. The steps were simple.

1. Starting with the left side, single strand twist the hair back until just before the ears.

2. Repeat on the other side.

3. Take 1/3rd of the loose hair in the back and twist into a bun. Pin.

4. Repeat 2 other times on the remaining 3rds.

Put a spin on the classic bun today with this tri-bun hairstyle.
