Has anyone else noticed the increase in weaves and wigs with kinky/curly texture? I have most definitely noticed it. Along with the popularity of these, disapproval from the natural hair community has grown. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen snarky comments on YouTube, Facebook, and blog post comments about kinky weaves and wigs.
Though natural hair has become a way of life for many people, there are just as many people who view natural hair as a style choice. I am in the style choice boat. If someone wants to give their natural hair a break I don't see anything wrong with them weaving or wigging it up! If someone admires natural hair but wants to remain relaxed, let them get a little texture in their life! We never know, they may be inspired to go natural later.
